Adelaide Hatters has been selling hats in the beautiful heritage-listed Adelaide Arcade for over 35 years. We pride ourselves on excellent service, product knowledge and attention to detail. We want you to leave our shop with a great hat that fits perfectly. As the largest specialty hat retailer in Australia, we have a wide range of good-quality hats for ladies and gentlemen. We are proud to stock a large number of Australian hat brands including Akubra, Camillo Panamas, Barmah, Oogee and Doborah Hutton. Other popular brands we stock are Brixton, Kangol, Hills Hats NZ, Lynsey Champion, Avenel, Evoke, Helen Kaminski and Failsworth. If we don’t have what you’re after, our staff will do their best to find it for you. On our mezzanine level, we offer an outstanding range of fascinators and head pieces for horse racing, formal and wedding occasions. Feel free to bring in a sample of fabric or the item of clothing and our knowledgable staff can help match and fit the perfect headpiece. We are happy to expertly package and post our hats to destinations in Australia and around the world.

Restorations and Alterations

Our Workroom handles a wide variety of repairs each year. We have an experienced Milliner with over 35 years of experience who can advise on a variety of alterations - from stretching an Akubra to restoring a rare vintage treasure. As a certified Akubra repairer, we provide quality refurbishment services and take good care of your hat. Millinary services we provide include stretching Akubra hats, cleaning, re-shaping, stiffening and more. Feel free to pop in Monday to Thrsday to speak with our knowledgebale Milliner, or drop in any other time and have a chat with the friendly floor staff about your refurbishment.
